Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something. -Plato-

Must say I really enjoyed your latest post “do you know where you’re going”. The subject matter is something that me and my good friends often speak of. Especially the police race relations issue. I think personally one of the biggest things lacking from the black community is accountability on our behalf. And almost always when I say this amongst a random group of fellow black people , it is always unpopular and often disregarded. So i definitely understand how it feels to be the “uppity negro”. This further shows how easy it is to get swept up in the herd mentality, let fear and ignorance dictate one’s life. And how in this day and age it is imperative to be a free thinker, being that there is a clear lack of. I guess the masses are okay with being force fed misguided ideology. Something I refuse to accept. I continue to seek truth and understanding for not only myself but for others as well.
